| I will
discuss the differences in the Candidates Proposals and why the Church must
resist more government intervention in the name of abused notions such as
Social Justice, Fairness, Equality, etc.
perspective is aligned with Catholic Teaching but does not ring of the
Collectivist sentiment that so heavily penetrates many secular issues
addressed by the Catholic Church in this day and age.
| The Real Question we face is one of
ideologies of Collectivism vs. The Rights of Individuals – The success story
of America is the preservation of those
individual rights, – the
preservation of Freedom coupled with responsibility and the sound Judeo-
Christian principles that create the safety net for those who can’t fully
engage the Productive Forces of
| Our Catechism actually has much to say
about this very American concept.
| In Healthcare there is an age old battle of
socialism vs. those who believe in individual rights. Socialists like to conflate the two very distinctly
different concepts of self interest vs. selfishness and demand “self”
annihilation leaving only a Utopian collective. This concept has failed
over hundreds of years. It is indeed
Anti – Catholic. Don’t be fooled -
Healthcare collectivism or socialism and central planning of healthcare will
have fatal consequences.
| America must resist what will equate to
invoking Eminent Domain of the intellectual and skill property of its
Physicians and the personal property of your bodily health and well being.
| The Church’s principle of Subsidiarity
rejects Collectivism yet what is being proposed is just that. The church
should reject more government in our lives and insist on its withdrawal.
